Operations Manager UC4

The Operations Manager Workload Management is responsible for providing a service orchestration and automation platform to simplify our customers' IT operations. Simplify, in terms of compiling, defining, planning, managing and monitoring production workflows in their business applications.

Your Tasks

 

Co-responsibility for the correct execution of all tasks in the operation and control of the installed solutions (HW/SW) in the area of workload management.

 

-  Independent setup of new Automic cluster systems on Windows and Linux platform. (Installation and configuration of Automic as a service. Configuration of customer clients, identifiers, agents etc) in a task area.

-  Independent development and integration of Automic Automation via Call API, Java API or REST API interfaces and connection to applications. Integration of external tools via Automic API interfaces. 

-  Developing, implementing and deploying scenarios to integrate customer specific requirements.

-  Independently perform complex maintenance and support work (change) within the scope of the work assignment and resolve very difficult faults and damage within the scope of his/her job responsibilities in compliance with the agreed contractual scope of work.

-  Diagnosing and solving difficult software problems; in case of unsolved problems, initiating further escalation levels (3rd LeveL, PL, TSM, MIM team, customer if necessary)

-  Creation of qualified error documents / protocols, forwarding to the 4th level and, if necessary, directly to the developers of the supplier Automic

-  Initiation, tracking and completion of CIP measures

-  Adherence to the defined escalation levels and, if necessary, involvement of the relevant specialist departments

-  Creation and maintenance of highly technical documentation as part of the work task

-  Conducting service-related customer discussions

-  Contact with suppliers both in regular operations and in incident, problem and change management

-  Performance analysis including the initiation of preventive measures

-  Qualified contact person for customers

-  Collaboration in the conceptual design and control of difficult installations and pilots

-  Responsibility for the creation and accuracy of generated reports for internal and external customers

-  Provision of evaluations Automic for preparation and documentation of audits

 

Your Qualifications

 

-  Bachelor or comparable

-  Several years of professional experience

-  Relevant professional experience in the areas of workload management and interface development

-  Knowledge of common procedures, technologies and operating systems in the workload management environment (e.g. SAP, UNIX, Windows, SFTP, FTP, virtualization layers, etc.)

-  Practical experience with a scheduling tool, Automic / UC4

-  Knowledge of running applications and frameworks as well as ITIL and project management

-  Strong sense of service, a structured way of working and independent development of solution approaches

-  Confident demeanor, analytical skills, willingness to perform and high ability to work in a team

-  Technical leadership

-  Very good written and spoken English skills are required - German welcome
